"Who wants to eat bread, must earn it"
So, I have this old brothers Grimms' book at home that has always fascinated me during my childhood. It's in German, since my Dad is Swiss and has some beautiful illustrations in it.
I chose the illustrations from "Aschenputtel" (German for Cinderella) because it's one of my favourite and has almost nothing to do with the Disney version.
I scanned them and then gave 'em a more aged look on photoshop. This is the first of five, Cinderella with her evil stepsisters. I wanted to put them together on a collage, but photoshop hated me and I gave up.

Edited the whole picture trying out some new techniques and it looks ten times better than the old one if you ask me.

It was the first fully illustrated version
of Aschenputtel I'd ever seen, and to
date there still aren't many that
even come close, either in quality or in
being Fully illustrated.. The book has been
out of print since the '80s. Thank you so much for sharing!
